Who is Alissa Pradera?

Alissa Pradera is an emerging mixed media artist born on January 10, 2003. Growing up in Tampa, Florida, Pradera developed an early interest in art, influenced by the pixie dust coated and vibrant stories of The Walt Disney Company. She pursued her passion by studying Studio Art at The University of Tampa, where she earned her Bachelor of Fine Arts with a minor in Therapeutic Arts in 2025.

Pradera’s work is characterized by bold colors, dynamic compositions, and emotionalist foundations. To create depth and illusion as well as a sense of intimacy to her paintings of oil and acrylic, she frequently uses mixed media, adding found objects, personal memorabilia, and unique textures. Pradera’s creative practice includes concentrations of two separate themes: youth and vibrancy, with a Disney focus and trauma and the human experience.

For two consecutive years, in 2023 and 2024, Pradera was the recipient of the Gasparilla Festival of the Arts Collegiate Scholarship. Several shows have featured her work, such as the 14th Congressional District and Next Generation High School Art Competition at the Tampa Museum of Art in 2021 and the University of Tampa Annual Juried Student Art Exhibitions in 2023 and 2024. Her work has been published in Neon Literary and Arts Journal: Volume 46, among other places.
