Am I a Big Girl Now?

This work explores the tension between youthful anticipation and the complexities of adulthood. As children, we yearn for the freedom of growing up, but with maturity comes loss of innocence, responsibility, and a longing for the simplicity of youth. Through symbolic imagery, the painting contrasts moments of playfulness with the weight of adulthood, reflecting the bittersweet nature of time and the pull between holding on to the past and stepping into the future.
